When a normal table just isn’t big enough…

This recently commissioned Corian extending dining table was made from Glacier White. Our client commissioned us to design and engineer a modern dining table that would measure only 1800mm long for everyday use but with the option of it extending to 2800mm. The beauty of this design is that it doesn’t have the appearance of an extending table, it just looks like a solid dining table.

Its internal core is constructed from multiple layers of laminated enginered birch plywood, this is an excellent material and when laminated its incredibly strong. The outer surface is completely wrapped in Glacier White Corian. Engineered steel slides are used to extend the table, the extra table leaves are stored within a compartment inside the table. Because of the weight of the table rollers had to be installed in the legs to facilitate the opening and closing of the table.
